After making a donation to Gunma Prefecture via the corporate version of Japan’s hometown tax initiative, Toyoko Inn Co., Ltd. has received a letter of appreciation.
To date, Toyoko Inn has engaged in an extensive range of initiatives that contribute to the community and society based on the principles of "being accepted by society as a corporate citizen," "contributing to the revitalization and development of the community," and "inspiring young people to dream and be inspired."
At this time, Gunma Prefecture intends to start creating a new model of support for students not attending school by utilizing free schooling, etc. As this is similar to Toyoko Inn’s own CSR activities, we donated to this cause.
Moreover, this corporate version of Japan’s hometown tax initiative is a HR dispatch-style program, in which Toyoko Inn managers are sent to Gunma Prefecture to take advantage of their abundant experience and expertise achieved through hotel management.
We hope that this new initiative will build support and offer different kinds of assistance for children who are not attending school, and help them become more socially independent.
