History of Toyoko Inn
Birth of "Toyoko Inn"
In 1986, the first hotel branch "Toyoko Inn Kamata 1" was opened in Kamata (Ota-ku), Tokyo.
Because it was located just halfway between Tokyo and Yokohama, it was called "Toyoko" (using the first Kanji characters of both city names). And this is how the hotel name Toyoko Inn was born.
